A vivid watercolor portrait of Stevie Ray Vaughan, playing guitar on stage.

This is an 11×17 of Stevie Ray Vaughan.

11×17 Watercolor painting of the late Stevie Ray Vaughan. I was lucky enough to see SRV in concert the summer before he died. It was amazing, as anyone could imagine. If I didn’t know any better, I would have sworn that his trademark SRV Stratocaster was a magic wand.

My friend Kevin Fore turned me on to SRV when I was in the navy. That was the mid-eighties, and Stevie’s career was already in full swing.

I consider myself very fortunate to have found SRV at that point, instead of being in “on the ground floor”. I was able to immerse myself in his first three albums.
