Nude Waiting By the Window

This watercolor portrait was based on a photograph by the late Lucien Clergue. It depicts a nude woman lying near a window, in the partial light coming through the blinds. This is particularly suited to my style of painting. It allows the light and shadow define the form. Color can then be used more expressively. That is the hope.
